A Call for Tornado Relief Offerings

President Pro-Tempore Jeff Greenway recently requested that all congregations of the Allegheny West Provisional Annual Conference create a special offering opportunity for tornado relief for the communities of the Indian Lake region of western Ohio. The region was impacted by devasting tornados the night of March 14/early morning hours of March 15. News media outlets reported that a category EF3 tornado touched down and was accompanied by winds of up to 136 mph.

We ask all the churches of the Allegheny West Conference to take a special offering for tornado relief between now and April 7.

While many immediate needs are being cared for by state and national relief organizations—we anticipate needs becoming profound in the next several weeks. Your gifts will be used in partnership with Pastors Cynthia Defibaugh (Hopewell Church) and Bryan Meadows (Cornerstone Church) as they work with local disaster responders to meet needs on the ground after the state and national responders pull back. Once you’ve received your offering, please send it to the Conference through the special offering link at the online giving page or by mailing it to the Allegheny West Conference, 1636 Graham Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
