Allegheny West Conference Welcomes Herman Dick Jr as CFO

The Allegheny West Provisional Annual Conference (AWAC) of the Global Methodist Church announced today that Herman Dick, Jr. has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective Sep 1.  Herman brings thirty years of combined experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis. He also has served as a pastor for the past ten years and is a clergy member of the Global Methodist Church.

“I’m thrilled Herman Dick has accepted the invitation to join our Conference Staff team.  He comes with considerable experience from the corporate and church world, and this position will give him the opportunity to maximize his gifts to serve Christ and the Global Methodist Church,” said President Pro-Tempore, Jeff Greenway. “I first met Herman when I was one of his professors as he studied for pastoral ministry, and I was impressed at that time with his deep faith, thoughtful insight, and incredible work ethic.  I’m grateful to have him by my side as we lean into the future God’s calling us to in the Allegheny West Conference.”

Herman most recently served as Associate Pastor for Riverside Church in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that he was a chief financial officer for a publicly traded corporation with annual revenues of $150 million. In that role, he steered financial strategy and planning, regulatory reporting, investor relations, and more. In prior roles, he also developed strengths in financial analysis and reporting, general accounting, and budgeting.

“I am excited to use my gifts and experiences from my time in ministry and corporate finance to further the movement of the Global Methodist Church in the Allegheny West Annual Conference,” Herman said. “It is a privilege to work alongside this group of committed and faithful stewards.”

As chief financial officer, Herman will oversee financial strategy and planning, as well as accounting and budgeting, for the Allegheny West Annual Conference. Annual Conferences of the Global Methodist Church are formed for the purpose of connecting clergy and congregations for shared ministry and accountability across a geographic region.
